Alicia Keys, America Ferrera, and Carrie Underwood looked great. And is that Vanessa Hudgens? Big fan, despite the booby shots. Beyonce's makeup actually pisses me off a bit, because I can always - ALWAYS, now - see her concealer. Am I the only one that noticed? It drives me insane, because she looks so damn washed out. So for me, its right down to America and Alicia.

I agree that most looks were pretty safe and boring. Avril's pink streak has got to go (she's not fooling anyone with her goth/punk image); Ashanti's yellow eyeliner makes her look ill; Mary J. Blige's lip liner is way too dark for her lip color and Rihanna's hair is just begging to be wipped off her face. On a brighter note, I did like Beyonce's jewel toned eyeshadow and despite it looking extremely simple and natural, Vanessa's makeup looks fresh and age appropriate. Hopefully the next red carpet event will bring us more modern, interesting looks.

Ashanti looked really scary...my god woman..please never do whatever was going on last night again! I actually really liked Beyonce's blue eye shadow - it looks fresh on her. And completely suprising, I loved Avril's eye makeup too! I think this is the best she has looked in a long time.
